SALT QUÀNTIC
Interactive installation
2005
The public are invited to shout, whisper, talk to a screen… Their sounds modify the images of a collection of eighty faces photographed in the town of Salt (Spain) that has a racially mixed population. The intervention of the public alters and transforms those faces into new faces, unreal people in a new collection of portraits of the inhabitants of Salt.
The public, thus, participates and leads the process of confronting permanent human diversity. The initial photos were taken in the town open market during the summer of 2005.
